A 19-year- an elderly man received gunshot wounds in the leg and head injury after the masked attack men in Co Antrim.
Master Sergeant Gardiner said the incident in woodvale park area of Bushmills reportedly on Wednesday evening.
“Shortly after 23.10, a message was received that a number of of wearing a mask men has entered house armed with a gun and wooden weapons,” he said.
“A 19-year- the old man was shot dead in foot, inside the house before being pulled into the front garden and shot again in other part of the same leg. Then he was beaten with wooden weapons in front of masks men left in property on foot.
“The man was taken to the hospital. for treatment of his injuries, including gunshot wounds and head injury”.
He added:” gun was also pointed to 19-year-old woman who was inside property at that time. Fortunately, she was not physically hurt, but left shocked by what happened.
“Investigations are ongoing and I urge anyone with Any information to call detectives on 101 with reference to number 2109, May 11.”
