lack of booths lined up up silently on shopping center on Thursday night like drivers paid tribute to the queen.

Roads around Buckingham Palace are currently closed by authorities as thousands of mourners descend into the royal residence following the monarch death.

ITV News reporter Paul Bland posted image of scene on Twitter calling the scene “incredible moving”, and commentators were quick to express their agreement.

“What they’re doing is a great idea” one said. “Thanks a lot for demonstrating your respect in this is way”.

“Good old taxi drivers,” said another. “They always get it right. God bless them.”

“They are the heart and soul of Any cityagreed the third, and the other added: “Brilliant, shows Why black taxi driver is best in in world”.

Taxi drivers gave a similar standing ovation when Prince Philip died in 2021.

Michael Ackerman, taxi driver driver for 26 years old, and friend Robert Calder, who drove a taxi for 10 years old, spoke to P.A. back of Taxi Mr. Ackerman.

Mr. Ackerman said that the taxi drivers came to the palace toshow our respect” for monarch.

“We are now know the queen died, the only woman we’ve ever known, our constant in and our life and we show our respect.

“It would be a lot more Taxi drivers here but they closed the road so no more you can get here.”

Mr Ackerman said: “We are both from London. Liz is a London girl…she one of your own, she one of our”.

Mr Calder was one of in first Taxi drivers to arrive at the mall around 18:50.

He heard news on radio while he was driving his cab on Tottenham Court Road and said he’made straight ahead to the Palace.
