Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Pakistan candidate Sardar Sibtein Khan was elected Speaker of the Punjab Assembly after elections for desired post.
Desired post became vacant after the election of Chaudhry Pervez Elahi as Chief minister of provinces.
Panel of Chairman Wasim Badozai, who presided over over provincial assembly session, announced that Khan defeated PML-N’s Saiful Maluk Khokhar by 185 points. votes. Khokhar, who was a joint candidate of PML-N and PPS provided by 175 votes.
“Congratulations to Speaker Janaab-e-Sibtain Khan,” PTI leader Raja Basharat said, adding, “Now they will continue with in no-confidence traffic against deputy speaker.

Earlier, the voting process was stopped due to the objections of the PML-N deputies. on spine of in ballots and threw them towards the opposition benches.
Four ballots also reported missing with panel of Chairman Wasim Badozai called security personnel inside house.
PML-N members have also surrounded the Punjab Assembly secretary and other election officials.
On Thursday, the deputies of the Ministry of Finance in the provincial assembly unanimously passed a resolution to hold the competition for vacancy of Speaker of the Punjab Assembly and also submitted a motion of no confidence against Today Vice Speaker Sardar Dost Muhammad Mazari.
PTI said it has 186 votes in service of his candidate Sibtein Khan, while PML-N hopes for victory despite 178 confirmed votes for his candidate is Saiful Maluk Khokhar.
After being hit by the Supreme Court down Controversial decision by Deputy Speaker Mazari on Chief Punjab minister of the election, PTI decided “immediately” to make no-confidence traffic against deputy speaker.
PML-N seemed confident and claimed they were “110 percent” win Competition.
“Last time we said that Hamza would be the main minister and he did. This time we vow that Saiful Maluk will be the speaker,” said a PML-N spokesperson.
