Shooting incident reported at the Golden Lion pub in Rainford

A LARGE police presence was seen in Rainford this afternoon after reporting that a man had been shot dead. in leg.

The man was reportedly shot dead by another man outside at the Golden Lion Pub today around 4:20 pm (Sunday 31 July).

Chief Inspector Phil Cowin said: “We in very early stages of our investigation and are working tirelessly to establish full circumstances of shooting at the Golden Lion pub this afternoon, which left the man is injured.
