Shooting at the Mississippi Mudbug Festival: At least 1. dead and several wounded after the shootout out

A person who died, possibly shot dead by an officer after “there was an exchange of shootout between at least 2-3 people in and around vehicleat the Mississippi Mudbug Festival, Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones said.

It was second year in event hosted by the Mississippi Department of Department of Agriculture and Trade website states.

It’s not yet clear if the festival will open on Sunday, Jones said.
