Ryan Giggs should face retrial over accusations that he assaulted and controlled his ex-girlfriend and also attacked her sister, the judge ruled.
The decision was made at a hearing this morning at Manchester Crown Court.
Jury in his first the court was discharged last a week after failing to reach verdicts after nearly 23 hours of discussion.
Giggs is accused of attack on him former partner, Kate Greville, inflicting actual bodily harm, and using controlling and coercive behavior against her from August 2017 to November 2020.
