It comes after a Reuters witness said he heard a loud explosion near the business district of the Russian capital Moscow, a few kilometers from the Kremlin’s headquarters.

Marches of war

A few days ago, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the shooting down of dozens of marches in different regions.

Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said last Sunday that air defense systems intercepted eight Khimar missiles and also destroyed 25 marches belonging to Ukrainian forces. In a press statement, he said: “Air defense systems destroyed 25 Ukrainian marches in the settlements of Krymskaya, Robezhnaya and Zolotarevka of the Luhansk People’s Republic, in the settlements of Trudovskoe and Gorlovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic, and also in the settlements of Chapaevka and Ocherevataya in the Zporizhsky district.”

It is noteworthy that the use of drones has recently increased, especially after the failure of the counterattack launched by Ukrainian forces in early summer to retake their lands from Russian forces.

Kyiv usually resorts to these marches because it is cheaper than planes or missiles and can easily penetrate Russian territory, especially across borders.

Similarly, it is difficult for Russian aircraft or air defense systems to track them, especially since they can fly at low altitudes.

These marches have appeared even in the heart of the capital, in Moscow, threatening important facilities, according to what the Kremlin had previously announced.
