Decree coalition will move today the Supreme Court seeks the formation of full court for hearing of Petition of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi against elections of chief of Punjab minister.
A three-man bench high court composed of Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Judge Ijazul Ahsan and Judge Muneeb Akhter hears the case plea in the register of the High Court of Lahore filed by Elahi – who was also candidate for Chief ministerslot.
Elahi got 186 votes against 179 votes of PML-Nawaz Hamza Shehbaz. However, Vice Speaker Sardar Dost Muhammad Mazari rejected 10 votes of legislators PML-Q on the foundation of letter from party Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, who said that his party not support Elahi.
Then Mazari said that in line with Decree of Supreme Court judgment on Article 63-A relating to the desertion clause votes of PML-Q legislators will not be counted. Then he announced Hamza Shehbaz winner.
