Retiree from Ponteland confessed to strangling her 81-year-old year-old husband after controversy over finance

Chief Detective Matt Steele one of detectives working on case, said: “It was an incredibly terrible case that I sure shocks the local community and as a result in in death of Mr Dunn. Our thoughts remain with his family as they keep coming to terms with this tragic incident. It’s to blame plea save them from judgment and added the stress it can bring.

“I would like give thanks hard work of all officers involved. It was an incredibly complex investigation, but their desire to find justice led in detailed evidence file and guilty plea. Hope, family now you can see move forward with their grief and find some closure with this is result”.

Dunn has been taken into custody and sentencing is due later this week when full Details of what happened will be revealed. Judge Paul Sloan QC told her: “I am adjourning your case until Thursday. of This week. You will be taken to court on Thursday for judgment hearing. I hope everyone is relevant material I have to consider before sentencing will available for hearing.

“You have to understand, I don’t give any instructions of the verdict to be given. It will depend on content of reports to be prepared between now and Thursday. you will be arrested in pretrial detention on Thursday.”
