House Minority Leader Hugh McKean dies in his home just a few days after he turned 55, the aide said. Not cause of death has been provided.

Colorado Republican Party Chair Christy Burton Brown called McKean “kind” and “positive,” adding that he “took time to invest in so many lives including mine children”.
McKean leaves behind his family members Aiden McKean, 21, Hannah McKean, 23, and his “dearest partner and friend Amy Parks,” Colorado House Republicans said.
