Cops in Raleigh, North Carolina, shot a man. who was throwing Molotov cocktails outside police station on Saturday, authorities said.
The incident began around 13:20, when an unidentified person started setting cars on fire. on fire in police station with incendiary weapons, officials said at a press conference.
“This man was given the command to stop his activities,” Raleigh Police Chief Estella Patterson said.
“The man went on throw several molotov cocktails in parking lot and eventually to our officers who were there.”
Then four policemen opened fire on man shooting at him “a few times”, according to Patterson.
Officers led the suspect away from the two burning cars and unsuccessfully tried to revive him, police said.
According to the chief, footage from the officer’s body cameras will be made public before the court’s decision.
