Harold Radford’s company became known in the automotive world for customizing models and bodies in the 50s and 60s, using existing enigmatic cars from Bentley, Rolls-Royce and Mini and responding to the very peculiar tastes of customers such as the Beatles and several other celebrities . And now, Radford is back, with a very special team.
“This is the perfect time to bring back a brand like Radford”, tells us one of its founders. In fact, it is precisely in its founders that part of the magic of this story begins, as it is interesting to bring together a well-known designer, a bodybuilder and a Formula 1 champion, almost unintentionally, as if it were fate wanting to talk more high.
The new Radford’s curriculum starts with a model steeped in history, inspired by a racing Lotus from which only two units were produced: the mid-engine Type 62 and its incredible body design. The new model uses Lotus Engineering mechanics and has two versions: one with a more classic look with the body painted in an obligatory British Racing Green and another, with a sportier look, with the decoration inspired by the Gold Leaf Team Lotus of the Type 62 original.
