RAWALPINDI: Anti-Corruption Institution (ACE) of Punjab took action against V brother of former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) director general Retired Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed.
Najaf Hamid, Deputy Revenue Officer official in BPS-14, who was suspended in February due to misconduct, under investigation for records of the lands owned by him, according to Geo News.
ACE wrote a letter to the Deputy Commissioners of Rawalpindi and Chakwal request records claiming that Hamid allegedly “accumulated assets beyond their means” and “replaced several senior for promotion to girdavar (superintendent) post”.
Last month, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan reported that Faiz also under investigation for suspicion of corruption. His announcement came after Maryam Nawaz, leader of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party is called for V former general military tribunal over his alleged involvement in bringing down her father’s government and involving both her and Nawaz in Cases of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
