PTI’s move courts on violence against party workers, supporters during the Azadi march: Imran – Pakistan

PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday said it party will move supreme and high courts in relation to “violence” inflicted on outside PTI workers and supporters government during the recent Azadi march to Islamabad.

Speech at a press conference in Peshawar, Imran recalls tear gas attacks and other incidents of heavy hands tactics allegedly used during a march that ended in cool fashion on Thursday after an intensive build-up throughout the previous day. He said use of violence against his party will raise a “peaceful protest” in front of international as well as human rights organizations.

“Accept the petition in Supreme Court on Monday and the question of whether there will be a peaceful protest in this country is right of democratic party. Tell us it is clear if this persecution will continue if we organize a peaceful protest,” he said.

PTI chairman got angry out in government for his clamping measures down on March Azadi and use of police to suppress people. “We have information what they set fire to the trees…to the frame us,” he added.

According to Imran, in addition to going to the highest court, cases will also be registered against Lahore Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Sohail Chaudhry and Inspector General of Islamabad of Police doctor Akbar Nasir Khan. “We must write down names of police officers register cases against them and will also share their names and faces on social media,” he added.

Imran said it will betest for democracy”, as well as the judiciary. “Will we sit down quiet if you close the doors of peaceful protest?” he asked.

Addressing the institutions, Imran stated that the country is heading towards destruction and that is the responsibility of the whole nation to prevent it. “If this continues way then all those who allowed such corrupt criminals and convicts [to come to power] will be responsible ,” he added.

The PTI chairman stated that the courts have always “given favor and advantage” to Sharif. family in cases against them.

He whipped out in government for its economic performance since coming to power and highlighted the slide of rupee and shares market.

Chairman of the PTI also explained his decision put an end to the Azadi march by saying that he did it because of anger in our people”. He said he was afraid that anger would pour out over into bloodshed and that he never set out to promote violence and instability.

He claimed to hate for police, rangers and institutions grew among people.

Imran said new elections were his “number one priority” and discussions on other questions can be held after the question of elections were on Table. “I’m ready for every kind of Negotiation leading up towards fair and transparent elections.

Imran said he instructed the PTI leadership to visit their constituencies and start cooking from today for in partyx next march, claiming that record numbers of people will turn up at that time.

“Today we have decided, we have analyzed and started all our preparations, I will announce when we arrive in Islamabad. [again]. This time we will come with cooking.”

Imran also said PTI legally challenge in governments move “revoke the right to vote for overseas Pakistanis” and his changes to the National Accountability Bureau laws.
