PTI moves TANK against Prime Minister Shehbaz, cabinet

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday appealed to the Lahore High Court (LHC) in attempt to remove Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his cabinet from office.

In a petition filed by PTI leaders Andalib Abbas and Hassan Niyazi, the federal government’s chief secretary prime minister and electoral commission of Pakistan (ECP) among others were made side of the matter.

The petition claimed that money laundering cases against the prime minister is in hearings, meanwhile he and his cabinet met with declared criminals during their trip to London.

PTI claimed that in “clear violation of law”, Prime Minister Shehbaz included sonSalman Shehbaz and his wife in in official visit to Turkey. ” prime minister violates the Constitution by abusing his powers,” the petition reads.

Seeking removal of Leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) from the Prime Minister’s Office office together with his office, petition also requested the LHC to order a caretaker prime minister take over.

On May 11, Prime Minister Shahbaz, together with with delegation of 10 people of PML-N senior leadership had met PML-N Supreme Leader Nawaz Sharif in London to look for counsel for overcoming the ongoing political, economic and constitutional crisis in country.

Later it became known that party Quaid forced them to swear allegiance to him.

Later that month, the prime minister, along with with high-level delegation left on three-day official visit to Turkey. In addition to discussing Pakistani-Turkish bilateral relations, the two leaders also exchanged views on regional and international questions.
