PTI moves IGH over slow progress in resignation of the National Assembly

ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday defied phase wise acceptance of resignations of its members of National Assembly (MNA) in Supreme Court of Islamabad.

PTI leader Asad Umar applied official petition against Speaker of the National Assembly over slow progress in Adoption of in the MNA’s retirement party.

Speaking to media on occasion, that former minister said that PTI “is going to file against election Committee of Pakistan (ECP)” as he argued that the commission itself “became a political party, which is unacceptable for us”.

“The NA Speaker does not have the authority to block the resignation,” he lamented, referring to the fact that “after three and a half half months, 11 resignations were selected.
