Priti Patel blamed the foreign ministry of trying to block her reforms combat Channel crossings for migrants in farewell shot after step down as home secretary.

The quarrel was triggered after twitter account of The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Department (FCDO) “liked” a Labor MP’s tweet celebrating Patel’s departure. Zara Sultana tweeted:good deliverance,” adding, “You were unspeakably cruel home secretary and also won’t miss anyone with scrap of decency.”

One of in first accounts for “like the tweet belonged to FCDO official account, although it was quickly “disliked” and the department said it was “a real mistake” from member of employees.
