KARACHI: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif speaks at a ceremony at the Karachi shipyard and engineering plant in in financial capital of Sindh during his one- day trip to city.
It was reported that the prime minister plans meet business community accept proposals for economic challenges facing the country.
The ceremony is hosted by the Pakistan Navy. The Prime Minister is the chief guest.
After attending the ceremony, Prime Minister Shahbaz will visit CM The house where he will preside over meeting on law and order situation in Karachi. He will also meet famous businessmen in CM House.
Sources say prime minister will leave for Lahore to appear before Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) tonight in court for a money laundering case.
Prime Minister Shahbaz is accompanied by Finance Minister Miftah Ismail, Minister for Water Resources Syed Khurshid Shah and Special Assistant Syed Fahad Hussain on his trip to Karachi.
The opening ceremony
The ships opened today were built by agreement between the Ministry of Defense industry and Turkey.
Two corvettes are coming built in Pakistan will be two for now built in Turkey. These four corvettes currently in various stages of completion.
According to reports, the addition of these ships will improve military and operational capabilities of Pakistan Navy.
