Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday congratulated him party for “overwhelming success” in in second phase of local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saying: “people of KP categorically rejected the traitors who sold out foreign craftsmen.
The prime minister’s congratulations came after the initial results out of 41 boards showed that PTI comes out the winner in at least 20 tehsil tips.
The remaining 21 slots are dominated by Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F). in eight councils followed by independents in four, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) in four, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in two, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) in two and the Awami National Party (ANP) in one council, according to information received from returned officers. But, official notifications have not yet been sent.
Failed Jamaat-e-Islami in 2018 general elections in one of his strongholds of Lower Dir appears to be losing ground as its candidates, according to results came out the winner in at least two out of seven councils of tehsil.

In his tweet, the prime minister named his party, apparently success like “early warning to all traitors,” saying, “this is what awaits them in their constituencies.
Planning Minister Asad Umar also tweeted that PTI’s “convincing victory” in The elections to the CP proved that the nation supports its leader.
“Now real decision will not made through non-confidence motion. The question is whether Pakistan can future will decide it people or several soldout politicians and their foreign masters,” he said.
According to the unofficial results, PTI secured the victory in six out of seven tips tehsil of Matchmaker. One seat was taken by candidate JUI-F.
Likewise P.T.I. leading in all three tips of Chitral and Malakand, according to unofficial results.
In Shangla, PTI won in three tips out of four bye one the seat was secured by the ANP.
Abdullah Khan, brother of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmoud Khan, also won seat in his ancestor Matta tehsil.
According to the Electoral Commission of Pakistan, elections for the seats of mayor and chairman were held in 65 city and technical advice, and for various places of 1830 village and district councils.
BUT total of 28,020 candidates were in in run, out of who challenged 651 for places of city and the mayor and chairman of the tehsil council.
In addition, 12,980 candidates competed. for in general places of village and district councils, 2668 for reserved seats for women6451 for peasants, 5213 for youth and 57 for minority places.
in first phase of polls on December 19, 2021 in 17 districts of JUI-F took 23 slots in the province of mayor/chairman of tehsil tips while PTI lagged behind behind with 18 places.
