Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan People’s Party won overwhelming majorities in second phase of Elections to local authorities in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
According to results so far received on 708 seats out of total 787 places, PML-N in bags 129, PPS won 104 and independents 199.
However, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) became the largest party with 229 seats; while JK PP won 28 seats, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan 7, and Muslim Conference, Jammat-e-Islami and Jamiat Ulema Islam won 4 seats each.
