ISLAMABAD: Newly Appointed Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Mr Neil Hawkins on Pakistan’s strong desire and commitment to further strengthen cooperation was reaffirmed on Thursday. in various areas such as trade and investment, agriculture, including wheat production, animal husbandry, including animal husbandry, educational and technical cooperation, direct air-links, qualified migration and people-to-people contacts.
High Commissioner during call on with prime minister praised sustainable progress achieved in bilateral relations over of the year.
The Australian High Commissioner reciprocated this desire. for further strengthening of bilateral relations and expressed deep gratitude for Pakistan assistance role in safe evacuation of its citizens and others from Afghanistan.
PM highlights cooperation Pakistan continues to provide international community in commemoration of situation in Afghanistan, especially since August last year.
Prime Minister added that Pakistan wanted peaceful relations with India, based on principles of impartiality, justice and mutual respect. In this context just and peaceful solution of Jammu and Kashmir dispute in conformity with relevant UNSC resolutions and wishes of Kashmiri people was irreplaceable.
The Prime Minister stressed that international community had play relief role in in this regard, because it was necessary for lasting peace and stability in South Asia.
The High Commissioner thanked the Prime Minister for accepted it and expressed his resolve to further increase and diversify existing links between Australia and Pakistan.
