PM for stakeholder consultation on charter of economy

ISLAMABAD:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said he’s starting the process of consultation with all political stakeholders build consensus on charter of economy.

In a tweet on social media platform Twitter, he said: “In 2018, as the leader of opposition, I proposed an idea of Charter of The economy that was ignored with contempt for that time government”.

“It need of the hour is now. We start the process of consultation with all political stakeholders build consensus on Charter,” he said. added.

In an address to the nation on Friday, prime minister said the charter was imperative, so no government could use in economy for for the sake of of politics, adding that he will reach out to all political parties for dialogue on cause.

Meanwhile, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb on Saturday said government would not negotiate with PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan until he “accepts defeat” and corrects his language and behavior.

imran, in press earlier in day, said he was open to “any kind of negotiations” if it leads to fair and transparent elections.

“Let him admit defeat first least. He accepts defeat and changes his behavior and language then he will see us won’t disappoint him,” Marryum said, answering the question why her government was problem in Adoption former prime minister’s proposal.
