plea against Imran Khan for challenging on nine seats vacated

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has rejected a petition challenging the actions of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan. decision participate in elections on all nine empty seats of National Assembly (NA), reports ARY News. on Thursday.

According to the details, Judge Shahid Jameel Khan of The Lahore High Court (LHC) considered the petition to challenge former prime minister Imran Khan decision run in a by-election on all nine empty seats of National Assembly (NA).

During the proceedings, Judge Shahid Khan asked whether nomination papers had been submitted to the Electoral Commission. of Pakistan (ECP) office. to which counsel representing petitioner answered in negative.

Calling the case “immature”, the court stated that petitioner should wait for filing of nomination papers and then file your objection with election Committee of Pakistan (ECP) first and then go to court.

The petitioner counsel, having familiarized himself with the vision of the court, decided to withdraw the petition. Subsequently, Judge Khan dismissed the petition after counsel called him back.

The petitioner Mian Asif Mehmood, President of the Punjab of Amon Tarakka’s party has petitioned the court to bar the PTI chairman from running in a by-election. on all nine places in interest of country”.


It is appropriate to mention here that Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan announced participate in additional polls from all nine seats vacated after the NA Speaker accepted the resignation of the PTI MNA.

According to ECP scheduleadditional surveys on nine seats in the National Assembly to be contested on September 25th.
