Parvez Elahi sued over Raid on Gujrat residence

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former Chief of Punjab minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi on Wednesday claimed to be his residence in Gujrat was raided by order of caretaker government in provinces, saying that he move courts against illegal action.
Gujrat police raided house of PML-Q leader early on Wednesday while Mr. Elahi and his son The Moonies of Elahi were not there as they are. in Lahore. Police team left after searching in in house.
Talking about holiness of in house was violated in action, he said the police did not inform him in advance of the raid. Provisional Punjab indictment government for such raids he said mandate of caretaker set-up was to hold elections and not involve in these activities.
“There is also caretaker government in Khyber Paktunkhwa, but no onex house a search is underway,” he said, adding that government should focus on arrest of terrorists instead of aimed at political opponents.

Meanwhile, PML-Q leader Muniz Elahi, son of in former CM said his residence in Gujrat was searched without a search warrant.
