Parliamentary inquiry into audio leak challenged by former CJP’s son

ISLAMABAD: Najam Saqib Nisar, son of former boss justice Saqib Nisar defied parliamentary inquiry of sound leaks in Islamabad High Court (IHC).

In accordance with media reports, Najam Saqib in petition in The High Court held that the Speaker of the National Assembly constituted house Committee on alleged sound leaks on May 02.

“Constitution of The parliamentary commission of the NA Speaker is illegal and he has no authority to form an investigation,” former CJP son argued in petition.

“The Secretary of the National Assembly issued a notice on May 25th and called my father in face before the commission,” the petition reads.

“Notice sent without meeting of parliamentary committee, petitioner said.

Najam Saqib asked the court to declare the committee illegal and suspend its activities. “Committee should refrain from doing anything until decision on petition,” he pleaded.
