Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday ordered round- round-the-clock monitoring of rescue, rehabilitation and rehabilitation activities in in flood-hit areas of Balochistan.
Premiere also ordered that a report detailing payments of funds for flood victims should be submitted every 48 hours, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.

At the meeting with officials in Islamabad on Wednesday, prime minister instructed the authorities to speed up the distribution of relief funds in provinces, especially in Bolan, Quetta, Zhob, Dhakki, Khuzdar, Kohlu, Ketch, Mastung, Harnai, Qila Saifulla and Sibbi.
He also aimed at pace up assistance and rehabilitation work in in flood-affected areas of Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
“Prime Minister Shahbaz said flood victims are looking away government to alleviate their suffering. He stressed that negligence in food, medicine and housing supplies are unacceptable,” the PMO said in a statement.
Besides, prime minister ordered ensure proper cleaning, sanitation and fumigation of flood-hit areas to prevent spread of diseases such as dengue.
“He also underlined on provision of clean drinking water flood victims to contain gastric disease,” PMO said.
Meanwhile, a government report concerned said food, medical camps and shelter had been arranged in food-hit areas of Balochistan.
it added that relief activities have been increased in cooperation with provincial government. The work was in progress in other provinces with cooperation of respective provincial governments, the report said.
Earlier this week, Prime Minister Shahbaz visited Balochistan and met residents of areas where flooding has caused devastation. During his one- the day of the visit, he handed out checks of 1 million rupees for each family of in flood victims.
The prime minister had also announced that provincial and national disaster management authorities will conduct a joint survey using satellite imagery to assess damage to crops, bridges and roads across the province.
