LAHORE:
Founder of Pakistani Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Omer Sarfraz Cheema was sworn in in as Governor of the Punjab during a ceremony at the Governor’s House on Sunday.
Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Muhammad Amir Bhatti sworn in new governor, according to official statement.
Punjab Chief Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal read out notification of appointment for participants of collection.
Former Chief of the Punjab minister Usman Buzdar, MPA Raja Yasser Humayon Sarfraz, Sadia Sohail Rana, Musarrat Jamshed, Inspector General of Punjab Police Roy Sardar Ali Khan, Members of civil society and a large number of party workers attended the ceremony.

Chima is one of the founders of PTI and served party as its central information secretary for seven years and as vice president. He hails from the Punjab region of Wazirabad.

Elahi accused Sarvar of siding with Alim Khan group – i.e supporting Hamza Shehbaz of PML-N against Elahi – in elections of Punjab CM.
