‘No explanation’ for the very first degree as grades rise | News

Diplomas of the first degree were awarded to almost four in ten graduates last summer and most of them can’t be explained student Watchdog said, criticizing rising valuation inflation.

80 percent received higher degrees of graduates in one institution. On the national level, rate of of students who received first places despite having three D’s or lower at A-level, there was a significant increase in last years.

Office for Students (OFS) admonished universities for allowance for “undeserved” overestimation over in past ten years and they said they should avoid allowing it to become “baked in”.

Michelle Donelan, Universities Minister said that universities should follow school exams and flip away higher grades awarded during the pandemic. Students sit the same way set and marked exams
