Mumbai: The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday directed the State of Punjab not to take “coercive steps” against Bollywood starlet Raveena Tandon, filmmaker Farah Khan and comic Bharti Singh on their plea, looking for quashing of FIRs against them for supposedly harming spiritual beliefs throughout a TELEVISION show.

Justice Sudip Ahluwalia released a notification to the Punjab federal government in this matter and repaired March 25 as the next date of hearing. The 2 Bollywood stars, in addition to the comic, were reserved by the Rupnagar and Ferozepur authorities for supposedly harming spiritual beliefs through their remarks throughout a TELEVISION show.

The grievances in this regard were submitted by Charan Masih, a local of Rupnagar, and Vijay Goriyan, a local of Ferozepur. Arguing the case for the stars, their counsels Abhinav Sood and Rohit Sharma looked for the quashing of FIRs, stating these were “illegal and bad in law”.

Sood stated no offense was constructed against them under IPC Area 295- A and stated that the accusations against petitioners were”unjustified, false and incorrect” In their petition, the stars had actually looked for the quashing of the FIRs and a remain on the Punjab Authorities examination.

Right after a debate appeared in December, the petitioners had actually asked forgiveness.
