Islamabad: PPP leader Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan said the proceedings of assembly cannot be challenged in Supreme Court, but if no-confidence the proposal is considered a resolution, then the decision of the deputy speaker can be canceled, according to ARY News.
Speaking exclusively to ARY News, Aitzaz Ahsan said that if the movement of No confidence was elevated to a resolution, the speaker had no right to reject the proposal. This up to the Supreme Court to decide whether the decision was just or not, he added.
Pakistan People’s Party veteran said that government did not seem constitutionally correct. This up to the Supreme Court to interpret the situation and decide accordingly, he added.
Aitzaz Ahsan said there was a precedent of recovery of meetings of the Supreme Court. Nawaz Sharif government in 1993 was restored 12 judges, five weeks after his dissolution by the country’s president, he recalled.
He added that proceedings of the assembly is exempt from any legal action, but it up to the prerogative of the Supreme Court to interpret the situation.

If the Supreme Court rules that the proposal has been brought to a resolution, it cannot be rejected at any cost, he said.
