Outspoken PPP MP Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar on Tuesday announced resignation as a senator on in demand of his party’s leadership of Russia, which was “dissatisfied” over his political views on issues related to civil liberties.
“Met senior leader from party Today. He conveyed that party management was unhappy with my political position and wanted my resignation from the Senate. I gladly agreed to resign,” the PPP leader wrote. on his official Twitter handle.

Khokhar added that he will resign in man to Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani on Wednesday (today)

Leader of the PPP, without disclosing reasons for his resignation, said as a political worker, he valued his right to express his opinion on has the meaning of public interest.
He expressed gratitude to the leadership of the PPP for giving him a seat in the Senate from Sindh.
“Not to mention the differences, it was a wonderful journey with them and wish them best,” he added.

It became known that the deputy who close to the co-chairman of the teaching staff and former President Asif Ali Zardari, met with Khokhara at the residence of the latter and handed over party management message for his departure from the Senate.
Two days ago another one senior party leader, who occupies a constitutional office, conveyed to him the fears of the leadership of the PPP over his political positions.
It has also PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari was reported to have expressed his ignorance over this is development as he did not seek Khokhar’s resignation.
Khokhar played exclusively inning as a senator, especially as chairman of Senate Standing Committee on Human rights.
Like a boss of Senate panel took multiple notifications over violation of human rights in all over country.
He even called IG FC Balochistan in the issue of human rights.
When senior military officer contacted Khokhar to tell him not to hold a committee meeting on missing persons.
However, he immediately declined his advice.
During tenure of to the PTI-led government, the Metropolitan Federal Police registered the FIR against his on statement of creating obstacles in in way of Zardari arrest on June 10, 2019 in Fake account case.
Later he succeeded acquire a pre-arrest bail from the court.
Khokhar had also remained representative for Bilawal. He is one of the few leaders of the teaching staff, who close to party chairman.
In December 2020 he announced stepping down as a representative of Bilawal, but added that he did not leave party.
Khokhar was dissatisfied over in party leadership compromises on issues related to the Constitution, as well as civil liberties.
He constantly called for follow ideological lines that were given by PPP founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and his murdered daughter, former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. Khokhar wanted revival of PPP in provinces of Punjab where it was necessary to party should carry out in politics of questions.
