Mortal Kombat 11 has sold more than 12 million copies

More than 12 million copies of Mortal Kombat 11 have been sold worldwide.

Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer NetherRealm Studios announced. This brings the counter for the complete franchise to over 73 million copies sold. Incidentally, Mortal Kombat Mobile on iOS and Android has been downloaded more than 138 million times.

Mortal Kombat 11 has been available since 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and Google Stadia. The game is now also out on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. The series is known for its intensely violent moves, especially the so-called ‘Fatalations’ that take place at the end of a fight.

“When Mortal Kombat launched nearly thirty years ago, I never dreamed that the franchise would grow into what it is today by over 73 million games sold,” said creator Ed Boon. “We have some of the most passionate fans in the world and appreciate their support over the years.”
