Mom from Connecticut Sonia Loja murder- suicide leaves Danbury community shocked

Mother who sent her kids to Connecticut Kindergarten of woman accused of killing her own children before taking her own life, said on Thursday that she was shocked by the triple murder-suicide.

The woman attended the vigil for killed family outside their Danbury home Thursday night and refused to believe that 36-year-old Sonya Loja would strangle her three. children.

“I can’t believe Sonya did this. I don’t believe what happened,” Nube Sukuzhanai, 33, told The Post.

“Sonia was good human. She loved and cared for her children and was good with the children she cared for.

Sucuzhanay said that Loja came to the US from Ecuador about 15 years ago. Sukuzhanai trusted Loha with her own two children and wrote them down in her kindergarten for seven years.

“It was very convenient for me to leave children with Sonya, she said. “[She was] just So good with children and so very nice.”

Loja ran an illegal kindergarten out of her house and said parents of approximately 10 children she was unable to see on Wednesday – the same day police believe she killed her own children 12-year-old Junior Panjon, 10-year-old Joselyn Panjon and 5-year-Old Jonael Panjon. loha then took her own life.

Loja reportedly strangled every child one on one before she hung herself in the shed in backyard of her home, the police said. Her husband as well as father of at children Pedro Panchon, found body when he returned home and fainted from the terrible discovery.

Sukuzhanai was one of about 50 mourners who collected outside in home Thursday evening for picket organized by the arealarge Ecuadorian community. The mourners sang hymns, recited prayers and lit candles. for more than an hour.

They created a makeshift memorial for killed children by placing prayer candles, flowers, white balloons and a teddy bear on at homefront steps.

BUT young visitor who went to St. Peter’s School with Joselyn from kindergarten to third grade said her late classmate was very smart and kind.

“Joseline was a very smart, creative and helpful person,” said 11-year-old Caitlin Jimenez. “Joseline was always there when you needed her. She will comfort anyone going through hard times.”

Caitlin said that Joselyn did well in mathematics and helped her when she was struggling with mathematical equations.

“It seemed to me, like she lived good life,” Catelyn said. “She was very positive. She was great in art and also musically but she was also very smart in mathematics.

“I’m sad,” she said. added. “She was good classmate and friend.

Thomas Vega, 31, was among the many mourners. who felt obligated join vigil in support of in family, despite the fact that he did not know either Loha or her children personally.

Vega, a father of two, couldn’t understand Lohi’s cruelty last act.

“What would make you kill yourself and take lives of your three children? Vega asked in mistrust. “Imagine what you see first baby dead then next one then the third one. something really bad should have happened.”
