Moeed discusses the border trade relative safety challenges to the PSW

ISLAMABAD: National Security Advisor Moeed Yusuf has been informed on Pakistan Single Window Initiative during his visit to PSW headquarters on Thursday.

The Advisor discussed security issues challenges And risk mitigation in the border trade activities in Pakistan.

Moeed Yusuf liked PSW team for effective implementation of the platform to digitize the trade processes. He said Pakistan’s single window is years ahead of it’s time. “It is important to identify and involve the champions of the system from very long start to ensure smooth implementation, “he said added.

He also he highlighted some of them of the potential risks that could be faced during the roll out of the system and an all-inclusive suggested design and implementation approach to mitigate those risks.

The director was given a detailed presentation on by PSW features and services and was informed about various components such as the integrated risk systemport management community system and integration of commercial and other banks government agencies.

Was also briefed on PSW initiatives aimed at strengthening economic security of the country by countering under-billing e trade based money laundering like integration with the IBM / Maersk proprietary TradeLens platform and other regional single window systems.

PSW CEO Syed Aftab Haider said PSW was building capacity for data analysis and processing of Big Data. “We would like like to take advantage of the huge volume of data passing through the system to allow prove based decision doing since policy creator ”, he added.

The councilor was also informed that risk mitigation and change management are an important component within the PSW company. Furthermore, Coordination, Collaboration and Connectivity are the guiding principles for all PSW initiatives.
