ISLAMABAD: In new move against journalistic brotherhood, ministry of Interior canceled NOC of Ahri News on Friday without notice.
AT coalition government led by the Pakistan Muslim Nawaz League (PML-N) took one more step to economic murder of journalistic brotherhood, abolishing the NOC of ARY news without releasing any show-cause notification.
Cancel of NOC will be understood as economic murder of more than 4000 media workers associated with in news channel.

AT move came after the airing of a controversial statement made by Pakistan’s leader Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and head Imran Khan. of Staff Dr. Shahbaz Gill on Ari News.
The channel had also clarified that Gill’s statement is his personal opinion and has nothing to do with it. policy.
The administration of the channel condemned the suspension of his transmission, saying network being persecuted by the federal government.
Lawyers called the governments move as “economic murder’ of families of journalists without explanation behind cancellation of NOC.
Babar Avan said that government made an economic murder of over 4000 families of media workers. He added what is needed for give the reasons for cancellation of NOC and requests clarification from the channel.
Avan said that government attempted to suppress independent voices. He said that move was apparently against verdict of High Court of Sindh (SHC) and government total disrespect of court.
He condemned the abolition of NOC ARY News and demanded government to give clarification about it decision.
Senior Associate Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan said the law requires issue a show-cause notice and listen reply in such decisions. Ahsan said the NOC cancellation could be challenged.
AT senior the lawyer said it wouldn’t take long for the court to invalidate the governments decision of cancellation of the NOC of Ari News. He said that decision came under contempt of court, because the Supreme High Command issued an order not to close the transfer of channel.
“It’s impossible to do in this is way what the bureaucrat accepts decision exclusively for issue notification of cancellation of the NOC. The channel cannot be closed after decision of ministry of the interior. AT decision of cancellation of the NOC should be immediately challenged in court.
Abuzar Salman Niazi, Legal Counsel, said: “According to the PEMRA law, a search notice will be issued reply. The court will not waste time invalidating decision etc steps can’t take in democracy. The abolition of the NOC is unconstitutional and illegal move”.
On August 10, the Sindh High Court (SHC) ordered the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to start broadcasting the channel immediately within Pakistan.

Channel went off air in many parts of country on Monday evening without prior notice to the authorities.
SHC bench heard plea in connection with the suspension of ARY News and CATV Directives Released operators for immediate recovery of TV channel transmissions.
In a 10 page ruling, the court also suspended action show-cause notice sent to ARY News by Pemra. SHC also stopped media regulatory license suspension authority of TV channel before next hearing.
the court had also sent a notification to Pemra and the Deputy Prosecutor general and adjourned the hearing until 17 August.
