QUETTA: federal minister for Science and Technology, Agha Hassan Baloch on The opening of STEM education took place on Thursday system in Balochistan.
The opening ceremony was held at the Nawab Ghaus Bakhsh Raisani State Higher Secondary School for Girls in Quetta. Chairman of the Pakistan Science Foundation, Minister of Education of Balochistan, Director of Science, Director of GSP and Heads of Schools also attended the ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony minister said Pakistan Science Foundation has started STEM education system for in first time in Pakistan. “Congratulations to the Ministry of Science and Technology and Pakistan Science Foundation for make it a vision reality”, – he said, adding that fifty laboratories are under the project in government schools across the country will developed on modern lines and converted to mini system fab laboratory.
He noted that the training modules on Preparing for STEM Education for 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades with an integrated approach to learning. teachers of these schools will teach on STEM modules shared designed China and PSF, he said.
federal minister said he believed success of STEM project will depend on on cooperation of all stakeholders, departments, especially schools designated by STEM of the province could play important role in this is success.
He said that intelligence of our youth was our strength and we had to make full use of this intelligence for in development of our society. STEM education provides us with a path to that development. One day project become a lifeline of education of our country systemhe concluded.
On this occasion, the President of The Pakistan Science Foundation assured that science the caravan was moving on across Balochistan. He assured everyone possible support from the Pakistan Science Foundation.
Former executives of ten schools were provided with STEM checks program.
