Microsoft has no plans to add any more games to the list of backward compatible games on modern Xbox consoles.

That’s what the company emphasized. Last night, Microsoft announced an additional 76 Xbox and Xbox 360 titles playable on modern Xbox consoles, including the Max Payne and Timesplitters games.

Microsoft previously reported that it would stop making games backward compatible, but now let it be known that the 76 games announced yesterday are really the last games. More games would not be possible due to licensing restrictions.

The company also confirms to IGN that there is no backward compatible catch up on games. “These are the last Xbox 360 and Xbox games to be added to the backward compatibility program. We’ve reached the limit of our capabilities due to technical, legal or licensing restrictions. tried to bring back as many fan favorites as possible to celebrate our 20th anniversary.”

There are now so About six hundred Xbox and Xbox 360 games playable on modern Xbox consoles. However, several fan favorites are still missing, including Ninja Gaiden, Rez HD, Jet Set Radio Future, Burnout 3, Project Gotham Racing and Armored Core.

Microsoft has no plans to add any more games to the list of backward compatible games on modern Xbox consoles.
