'Metal Gear, Silent Hill games in the works at Konami'

Konami plans to revive franchises like Metal Gear, Castlevania and Silent Hill.
Anonymous sources have reported this to VGC. First of all, a new Castlevania game would come out, which would reinvent the series without losing sight of the core of the series. The game is said to be in development internally at Konami, although some external studios are said to be helping. There would also be a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater in the game. in the making, which would be developed by a third-party studio in China. The project had only just started. Before the release of that remake, it is planned that the Metal Gear Solid games will get remasters on modern platforms.

Finally, Konami would recommend several Silent Hill games work. Various external studios would take on the development. One of the developers would be a well-known Japanese developer.

According to VGC, Konami will unveil the above plans at major fairs. Konami was not present at E3 this year because the timing would not be right. There have been rumors about new games in the above franchises for quite some time. For example, there were rumors about a Metal Gear Solid remake of Bluepoint Games. That now seems unlikely: the studio has been taken over by Sony and is working on a completely new game. There have also been rumors about one or more Silent Hill games for over a year.
