Maserati tests the reliability of the MC20 in extreme cold conditions

Maserati continues to perform reliability tests to the new MC20 and this time took the super sports car to the icy roads of Valtellina and the Ghiacciodromo Livigno, the snow and ice circuit located in Italy.

During this mission in the cold, the MC20 was tested to evaluate the cold engine start, the low temperature performance of its elastic elements and the behavior of the vehicle on cold asphalt surfaces of the suspensions, brakes and battery.

In addition, Maserati technicians also evaluated the performance of the climate control system in cold weather conditions.

The extreme conditions did not stop the new MC20, which is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 engine and two turbochargers, mounted in a central position and offering 630 hp of power at 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 730 Nm from 3000 rpm, which is combined with an eight-speed automatic double-clutch transmission, which sends power to the rear.

These numbers allow to the super sports car of the Tridente brand, accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of more than 325 km / h.
