21:55 update: night plan in place
Two crews and two division the guards will remain on scene with a fire on County 21 Road while all other Poudre fire crews will be relieved overnight.
According to the PFA, the winds subsided down, allowing the crews more access to fire area. fire has not grown significantly since our last update and is still valued at about 600 acres.
Night brigades will patrol fire line check for hot spots and mop up.
fire area will be fully stocked on Friday morning with fresh resources as brigades continue to work towards 100% containment in accordance with the PFA.
The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office will resume communications at 7 a.m. Friday.
21:30 update: evacuation lowered in two areas.
Fire officials downgraded part of two different evacuation zones late Thursday evening.
Residents living in in area between Larimer County Road 66, south along Larimer County Road 21 to Larimer County Road 56, and west to Larimer County Road 21C, were downgraded to a voluntary evacuation. What area includes a lot of in the fireeast part.
Authorities advised returnees home should use caution and observation for fire personnel in them area.
8 pm update: Fire grows to 600 acres
According to the Poudre Fire Authority, fire is about 600 acres with zero containment. Around 80 personnel work throughout area. Incident Command estimates 60 homes were affected fire and evacuation, but no structure has yet been lost.
18:35 update: Fire on 120 acres
fire is about 120 acres with 0% containment as of 18:35, according to PFA. Tanker and helicopter crash fire moderators have made a few drops over in fire.
Place of evacuation announced
The fire department said the evacuation site for residents affected by this fire was set up at the Leeper Center at 3800 Wilson Avenue in Wellington.
18:00 update: Officials extend evacuation
Firefighters ordered an additional evacuation for this is fire. Inhabitants in in area from Arapahoe Valley Road south to Larimer County Road 56, east to Larimer County Road 21, and west to Route 287 now also as part of the mandatory evacuation.
