Man killed, three others injured in “linked” attacks

A 47-year- the old man died, three more were injured in argument of attacks with firearms and knives in Scottish highlands.

Scottish police arrest 39-year-old man in connection with three incidents – two on island of Skye and another in nearby Dorney – and said they were thought to be tied up.

A 32-year- An elderly woman was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. in Glasgow, after first incident shortly after 9 am on Wednesday.

After about 30 minutes, in Tang area of Skye, firearms fired. A 47-year- said the old man dead on the stage.

The officers then visited property in Dorney area of Wester Ross where the guns were also dismissed.

Two victims, a man and a woman, were injured with man airlifted to Raigmore Hospital in inverness with “serious injury”. The woman was taken to Broadford Hospital. on Sky.

A 39-year-old man who was arrested in connection with all of the incidents were also taken to Ragemore Hospital.

Kate Forbes, local MSP, described news as “simply devastating” and said it was “the worst day I could ever remember”. in in history of Skye and Lochalsh.

“The communities of the West Highlands are tight-knit, we are warm and hospitable, and this will destroy us to the depths of her soul, she added.

“Feels like our heart was torn to pieces. I and I sure many others never thought that we would see such a terrible day. No West Highlands home will remain untouched by this terrible tragedy.”

Several ambulances air ambulances and special prompt response team were sent to the scene. Emergency Medical Services (EMRS) team also They were present at the scene, the Scottish ambulance service said.
