Anti-monarchist pressure group put up billboards across the country urging “Make Elizabeth last’ upcoming of Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration next week.

Agitation group Republic posted large posters in cities across the UK including Aberdeen, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool, London and Birmingham.

Speaking for Republic, Graham Smith said: “These billboards are part of of Wider move to create a bigger, louder public debate about future of monarchy”.

However campaign also seen a lot of support with many express their disdain for The Royal Family.

One user said: “Great! Money well spent. We can’t afford members of the royal family.”

Meanwhile, the country is looking forward to the Queen’s 70th birthday. of reign of the monarch.

The anniversary will be celebrated for four days bank holiday beginning on Thursday.
