Lexus NX450+ is the brand's new plug-in hybrid flagship

Lexus has renewed its successful SUV NX and the novelty is an engine capable of covering 62 km in EV mode

The latest generation of the Lexus NX represents a new chapter for the Japanese luxury brand.

More than the aesthetics, the big news comes in the alignment of the engines an entirely new hybrid plug-in, with refined dynamics and a large number of elements of infotainment and advanced on-board connectivity.

The new Lexus NX replaces a sales champion, with more than 170 thousand units sold since 2014 and the responsibility is increased.

O The new flagship bears the designation of NX450h+, it is, as mentioned, the first hybrid plug-in and has a combined system to develop 306 horsepower allowing a 63 kilometers driving, according to the brand’s data, in EV mode (100% electric).

The other two models will be the NX350h (hybrid) 2.4 lit engine ros turbo and 8-speed automatic transmission, with 279 horsepower and the NX250 with 2.5 liter engine with 199 horsepower.

The design concept is based on a new “Vital and Tech” identity that the brand attributes to dynamic vitality and technological innovation.

The aesthetic line is more full-bodied with wider lanes, new 20-inch wheels and the front grille having the leading role that customers have become accustomed to.

At the rear are the new inverted L-shaped illuminations to give a sign of identity and the logo now appears in the middle of the gate in a central position, in full instead of the “L” logo.

In the interior, there was concern with a new centrality around the conductor, maintaining the quality of materials, for greater involvement and many connectivity elements will also be available.

The Lexus NX will hit the main European markets in the last last quarter of 2021 and more information should be available soon about the arrival and alignment of the range for Portugal.
