Lake Manchar dam breached to relieve water pressure

KARACHI: In an attempt to save Pakistan’s largest lake and reduce pressure of water ingress into the reservoir against the backdrop of catastrophic floods across the country, authorities on Sunday made violation in Dam of Lake Manchar at point RD-14.

Confirming the report, Sehwan’s Deputy Commissioner Captain (retired) Fariduddin Mustafa said the reduction was made in dam of Lake Manchar on RD-14 near Baug-e-Yusuf.
