Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyzstan), June 3 – President Sadir Japarov said that Kyrgyzstan considers the EU a reliable partner.
Japarov met on Saturday in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel. The President of Kyrgyzstan stressed the historical significance of the meeting, as “for the first time in the history of bilateral cooperation, the Kyrgyz side pays such a high-ranking visit by the head of the European Union to the country.”
“We attach great importance to this fact. Your personal interest in our country and our region gives us an additional incentive for further comprehensive development and strengthening of partnerships with the European Union.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed topical issues related to strengthening bilateral cooperation, and exchanged views on a wide range of issues on the global agenda, including regional cooperation.
