Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that Kyiv received about 60 Western-made tanks.
“The alliance (for the supply of Leopard tanks) includes Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Portugal, Spain and Canada,” Reznikov said, noting that “Kyiv still has two battalions of 30 Leopard tanks each, only about 60.
According to him, France also supplied Kyiv with AMX-10RC wheeled tanks, Great Britain – Challenger tanks, and the United States of America – Abrams.
On January 25, the German Cabinet of Ministers confirmed that it would send 14 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine and allow other countries to re-export these vehicles.
On February 7, the German government agreed to supply Kyiv with 178 Leopard 1A5 tanks.
And the US Department of Defense announced in March last year that it plans to send 31 Abrams tanks from its stocks to Ukraine by autumn.
