Karachi Police register FIR against Saad Rizvi, Mustafa Kamal on terror accusations over Poll Related Violence – Pakistan

Karachi Police on At least four cases reported on Friday against Party Chairman Pak Sarzameen (PSP) Mustafa Kamal and head of Tehrik-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), Saad Hussain Rizvi and hundreds of them party activists under murder as well as terror charges, a day after violent clashes between political parties during the NA-240 by-elections.

One person was shot dead and 10 others were injured in the outbreak of violence in Karachi on Thursday during by-elections NA-240 (Korangi Karachi II), with rival political parties point fingers at each other.

PSP blamed TLP workers of firing on his party Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal during media talk, adding that the main leaders of Russia were also injured.

According to the police, party heads were appointed in ate for causing violence during additional questioning on Thursday. They said two of cases have been reported on complaints of presiding officers of election Committee of Pakistan and the rest were filed on on behalf of of condition at Landhi and Korangi Police Stations.

Lundy police filed a case on terror accusations against PSP and TLP executives and others over in killing of 65-year- an elderly man identified as Saifuddin.

SHO Landi Police Station, Mohammed Amin Mogol, in his complaint, said he was patrolling area in Lundy when clashes broke out between PSP and TLP workers.

At 17:00, armed TLP workers led by Saad Rizvi came to Landi No. 6. area where were the PSP workers already gathered. “TLP workers resorted to firing as a result in in killing of passer-by and injury to others.”

He said firing triggered panic and chaos in in area. “Meanwhile, PSP workers, led by Mustafa Kamal also resorted to firing, injuring some persons standing nearby who were later transferred to different hospitals.”

Lundy Police also registered another FIR on a complaint of ECP Chairman Shahid Ali, against head of the PSP and over fifty people on terror and other fees.

FIR reported that between 50 and 60 workers arrived at the polling station, led by Kamal. in Lundy is not. 6 and rough up campaign staff and subjected him to verbal abuse.

In another FIR registered with Lundy police station. on a complaint of Chairman Ghulam Hashim, about 400-500 PSP workers have been booked over terror and other fees.

The applicant stated that he was fulfilling his duty at PS-51 in Lundy when 400 to 500 PSP workers arrived there at 4:30 pm.

“They beat me up as well as also beat other employees and tore up the election material”, said PO, adding that it caused fear. He said the violence caused PSP employees also briefly suspended the electoral process.

Fourth FIR, registered at Korangi Police Station, on on behalf of of state under sections 147 (disturbances), 148, 149, 302, 452 and 427 of Pakistan Penal Code states that 20 to 25 years people armed with sticks arrived at the polling station in Korangi 2 ½ area and disrupted the electoral process. However, the police arrested five of them, while others managed to escape.
