Justice Department blames Iranians in Plot to kill John Bolton

WASHINGTON. The Department of Justice indicted a member of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps on Wednesday with conspiracy to assassinate John R. Bolton, who served national security adviser to President Donald Trump.

Prosecutors said the Iranian offered $300,000 to hire someone to kill Mr Bolton, conservative foreign policy expert and hard-liner on Iran, in Washington or Maryland.

Mr Bolton… who vehemently opposed the Obama administration’s nuclear deal with Tehran – encountered repeatedly with Mr Trump during a tumultuous 17-month tenure national security advisor. He later wrote a candid book detailing former impulsive and often unsystematic foreign policy Requests.
