Islamabad police release traffic plan for peopleconvenience

ISLAMABAD: Police on Wednesday released a plan of movement for convenience of in general public against the background of the long march of PTI to the federal capital.

Entry and exit details points to the red zone were closed at Ayub chauk, NADRA chauk, Express chauk and Serena chauk checkpoints. Those who wish enter or leave the red zone can only use Margall road.

The authorities have set up strict security measures in secret areas of Islamabad points. Law enforcement agencies will also conduct security checks on in people trips to or from the federal capital.

Atatürk Avenue has been closed from Nazimud Din T-Cross to Geo Chowk, police said, advising commuters to use 7th Avenue to get to your destination.

Nazimud Din Road has been closed from Zoom Gas Station to Atatürk Avenue and Jinnah Street has been blocked from China Chowk to Express Chowk, passengers are advised use Margalla Road as an alternative route.

Murray road blocked for both sides of traffic towards Faizabad from Rawalpindi, ITP said in a statement. He said that passengers can use Islamabad Expressway as an alternative route.

Islamabad Expressway closed for inbound traffic to Islamabad at Gulburg Green Bridge and passengers are advised to use Rawalpindi-Peshawar road to reach your destination.
