Ireland condemns Russian television for nuclear attack modeling | Ireland

A report by Russian state television simulating a nuclear explosion. attack launched off shore of County Donegal has caused horror in Ireland.

Ireland is not mentioned in the report, but the simulation showed it collapsing along with Great Britain, which angered the Kremlin with the supply of weapons to Ukraine.

Irish politicians condemned the report. Neil Richmond, legislator with the ruling Fine Gael party is called for exile of Russian Ambassador to Ireland Yuri Filatov.

Billy Kelleher, MEP, tweeted: “It’s time to tell the Russians government what is it wild language just unacceptable for us”.

Russia invasion of Ukraine and naval exercises off Ireland’s coast has sparked controversy in Ireland about the state military neutrality and weak defense forces.

TV report made first pages of several Irish newspapers on Tuesday including Irish edition of sun. “Crazy Vlad off his missile is Russia threatens to nuke Ireland,” read the headline.

The Russian Embassy in Dublin said in statement: “Views and presentations in TV set show what’s this of editors. official position of It has always been in Russia that there can be no winners in nuclear war and that it must never be unleashed.”
